The Dam Square is the historical center of Amsterdam; many tourists find themselves coming here to take in the history of one of the oldest places in Amsterdam. From the west end of the square there is a perfect view of the Royal Palace. The Dam square once served as a town square to the city as well as the center of commercial activity as well as government activity. Just past the northeast corner though the red light district lies another Huge visiting place for those curious tourists. This place may be pleasant during the day but at night when everyone leaves the streets a somewhat more dangerous air takes place and all sorts of creatures come out to play.

Keizersgracht ( Translated into Emperor’s Canal in English) Is the second and the widest of the three Canals in Amsterdam. Over the canal is a beautifully lit bridge that is not meant to hold cars or truck this bridge was made for only Walking across. This is probably one of the most romantic places in Amsterdam the lights add the perfect accent to a date or simply a romantic evening. At night the moon reflects perfectly off of the waters and the only thing keeping people out of the water is the Railing on the edge of the bridge.

De Wallen is the largest and best known re light district in Amsterdam as well as a major tourist attraction. It can be found in the heart of the oldest part of Amsterdam covering several blocks with many canals cutting through the district. De Wallin is a network of alleys containing approximately three hundred tiny one room cabins rented by both male and female prostitutes but that’s not all that lurks in these streets. Boogiemen can mostly be found lurking these streets after hours posing as humans to lure in the unsuspecting human to prey off of. Watch your step when you come here because in this red light district even humans are willing to drag off there own kind to do horrible things to, things that would cause someone to rather go to a boogieman than be subjected to what they do.

Hotel Amsterdam was built hundreds of years ago like most of the city, it is run purely by Vampires. Humans are often brought here as food for the many vampires that call this place their home, most humans or werewolves that go into the hotel never come out. The whole top floor of the hotel is made like one big house with an open floor plan, this is where the king resides while he is in Amsterdam. The floor under the kings is for the Ancients and all floors below that is for followers of the king both shifters and vampires alike.

Hyde Park is located on the southern side of Amsterdam and sits on the edge of one of the many canals that cuts through the city. This park has nearly been abandoned by all except for those who are up to no good. The park itself has overgrown over the years vines and tall grasses blocking the way for most to get in seeing as it hasn’t been cut down in years. Within the park though shattered walkways and a old rusted jungle gym can be found along with litter and other debris.

Amsterdam is the Financial and business capital of the Netherlands and currently one of the best European cities in which to locate an international business. Large buildings tower over this part of the city and more are being built everyday. Most of the cities major and world wide businesses can be found in the part of the city. Not only big businesses can be found here though hospitals, vet offices, and other things can be found here as well as many restaurants and other franchises.

Rising into the grey skies of South Amsterdam is a smoke blackened apartment building that rises up eleven stories. The residents here are poor lower class people who couldn’t afford anything better, the apartments either furnished or not but all apartments are the same size, one bedroom, two bed rooms, or three it matters not the more rooms there are the less living space you have in other rooms. A fire ripped through the left side of the large building leaving it nearly inhabited by most human life, condemned from use, but some people and animals alike still attempt to live in this side when things get cold enough.

The black woods surrounding the western side of Amsterdam are full of hidden dangers. Many many people go missing in these woods every year hardly anyone that goes to far in come back and those that do are declared crazy from the stories they tell. The black woods are the Shifters territory and they are tricky beings often playing mind games with the humans they come across. Though shifters aren’t the killers, if the people who wander in don’t die of starvation after getting lose the vampires, werewolves, or boogiemen will get to them and either kill them or turn them. This is a common hunting ground for the immortals, the woods providing a perfect cover though wild animals are a big factor in there hunting as well.

A beautiful lush green clearing, that is not to far from the beach, resides just beyond the forest. Many animals make this place its home, most of which end up living there their whole life. This is a very peaceful place and where most shifters can be found when they are not in the forest. Many different types of both grasses and flowers grow here, a small stream cutting through trickling quietly providing water for any hikers that may pass through.

This church was built when Amsterdam was first destroyed acting as a holy place for people to worship while the city was being rebuilt. As soon as the city was done and more churches began to pop up the church was abandoned out in the woods no one has been to the church since except for a few people who have wandered up on it. Bibles, song books, and other old literature still remain in the church along with the original church pews. In the back of the church is a graveyard with headstones that date back hundreds of years ago most being broken and worn down grass growing up over them.

The Martyr Beach is not visited often by the human world, most of the time being to cold to make a trip to the beach except for those very rare days during the summer when its actually warm enough to swim. The beach is very rocky towards the southern end but for the most part the sands are smooth and perfect to just sink your feet in. a few tourists sometimes turn up on the beach just walking around but the locals know better than to go there and get wet during the cold months. The waters around the beach are pure and beautiful holding a light green and sometimes clear color to it.

Created in the year of 1355, The Amsterdamse Poort is am old city gate of Harlem. Such an old structure lost it's purpose as in 1865, the government came up with the idea to bring it down to crumbles to make way for something new. But due to lack of funds, this structure was left to stand but with the exception of a few renovations of it. Through the years it had been kept up with a couple of renovations here and there before officially getting the title as a national monument in the 1960s before getting it's last renovation in 1985 making it's appearance suit it's title.

The Deer Head pub is located just outside of the red light district, this is a rather large pub and somewhat fancy and very well kept up by the owners. It is ran by werewolves and the lower levels of this building as well as the second floor act as a base to those werewolves loyal to their alpha leaders. People of all species come to this pub as long as they don’t start trouble though no vampire has ventured in as of yet. There are many tables located all around the first floor as well as a few pool tables towards the western side, a long circular bar is located in the center of the large open room. The upstairs is home to the Alphas and betas the large second story being divided into a bunch of different rooms. It Is homey but the air isn’t very welcoming to outsiders. The lower levels of the building is home to those other werewolves thought he downstairs is just as nice as the upper level of the house and doesn’t look like a basement at all, though it is a bit more bloody than the third floor. There are many rooms to provide some privacy to the pack members especially when they bring humans home with them. No species to this day knows that wolves control the pub and usually human employees make it seem so.

Vleeshal was a meat market that was built during the 16th century and used until 1840, after that it became to small for all the meat sales and was turned into a library but the library burned up on the inside during the year 2010 and has since been abandoned. This serves as a meeting place for people of all species some people who are homeless even make some of the smaller less harmed rooms into their home.

Windmill De Adriaan was built over two hundred years ago on the edge of one of the many canals that cut through Haarlem. It is currently a tourist attraction during the day hundreds of people visiting it every day but at night it acts as a home to one of the three shifter nobles. This place has just as many visitors during the night as it does during the day though a different sort, Werewolves, vampires, and even the occasional boogiman visit this windmill. Humans tend to stay clear of this place during the night odd sounds of pain can be heard coming from the windmill during the night.

Created in the year of 1596, it didn't become an official public library until 1921. It's name itself refers to the whole system of libraries in the Netherlands though this one was it's first. In this specific library, it holds things such as CD's, music, rare and regular books along with complimentary access to the Internet.
